Upon check-in you will receive information about each restaurant including door to door directions from the inn. (A few of these excellent establishments are pet friendly restaurants during the warmer months.)

Sweet Carolines - West Rutland 802-438-5696. A wonderful charming restaurant owned and operated by our great friend Donnie who specializes in local foods, prime rib, fresh seafood a friendly bar with wide ranging selections and many smiles. 2 minutes from the inn. website

Countryman’s Pleasure - Mendon. 802-773-7141 Chef Hans has created one of the most special treasures in all of New England. Bavarian fare complete with the touches of passion all served in a post and beam style house with multiple rooms and hearthside seating. Perfection. Countryman's Pleasure is a can’t miss. Inn at Long Trail (that's long TRAIL, not long tail) - Killington. 802-775-7181 Rustic, beautiful setting, fantastic Irish food! Live music on Fri and Sat. Also excellent pub. Distance from the inn 15 minutes. website

Roots - Rutland (802) 747-7414 - This special chef-owned "farm to table" restaurant opened in February 2011 and has quickly become a "must-do" when in Vermont. With an intimate yet vibrant setting, creative menu, and friendly service, Roots uses mostly local products to render an exciting experience. Get back to your Roots! Yellow Deli - Rutland. 802-775-9800 Formerly The Back Home Again, everything in this quaint restaurant has been built by hand...the tables, lamps, hearth, ceiling, etc are the life work of people dedicated to beauty, health, and of course, great food. The restaurant features an amazing wholesome menu with 2 specials daily. Distance from the inn: 5 minutes. website

Victorian Inn - Wallingford 802 446 2099 Top-notch Swiss-American cuisine in a beautiful Victorian home. Distance from the inn: 15 minutes. website

Mountain Top Inn Chittenden 802-483-2311 - A picturesque setting is the backdrop for a nice, traditional restaurant. Mountain Top also provides other amenities such as sleigh rides and ice skating in the winter and outdoor seating in the summer. website

Café Provence Brandon 802-247-9997 Chef Robert started the Cafe Provence in 2004 after running the New England Culinary Institute for 16 years. Now his first rate eclectic restaurant has become a landmark in Central Vermont. A mouth-watering menu and phenenominal desserts. A 25 minute drive from the inn and worth it. website
